511 FDOT's 511 Traveler Information System is a free phone and Internet resource that provides English and Spanish real-time traffic information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on all Florida interstate highways, Florida's Turnpike and major metropolitan roadways in the state. The statewide system provides information on commuter travel times, construction, lane closures, crashes, congestion and severe weather affecting traffic. Callers can also access public transit, airport and seaport information. In the event of an emergency, 511 provides information on road closures and evacuation information. |

South Florida Commuter Services (SFCS) SFCS, a project of the FDOT, offers a range of programs geared to encourage ridesharing to ease traffic congestion on South Florida's roadways. These services include: carpool/vanpool ride matching, telecommuting, the Emergency Ride Home program, Employer Transportation incentive programs and the Top Businesses for Commuters Campaign, recognizing employers that provide outstanding transportation benefits. |

SunGuide FDOT operates a statewide program known as SunGuide to manage and maintain the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) of our region. ITS is the application of advanced integrated technologies that manages our surface transportation systems to improve mobility and safety along our roadways. FDOT District Six's SunGuide Transportation Management Center (TMC) serves as the regional command post that monitors and controls these technologies to provide motorists with reliable traveler information and coordination with incident responders within the roadways of Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. |

Miami-Dade County Transit (MDT) MDT is the 14th largest public transit system in the nation and the largest in Florida. MDT provides the delivery of public transit services via four transportation modes: Metrobus, Metrorail, Metromover and Paratransit. Metrobus provides bus service throughout Miami-Dade County and some parts of Monroe and Broward counties. Metrorail is the County's 22-mile, elevated rapid transit system that includes 22 accessible Metrorail stations. Metromover is a fully automated people mover system that offers convenient access in the Central Downtown, Omni and Brickell areas. Paratransit is comprised of the Special Transportation Services (STS) program, providing approximately 135,000 trips on a monthly basis. |
